Did you know that not all wells require a pumpjack as illustrated here? A pumpjack is only necessary when the well's pressure is depleted and/or water weighs down the oil.

About Us

Riley James Development Corporation develops low-risk, multi-well oil and gas programs via direct participation programs offered by our affiliate, Lone Star Securities, Inc. – a registered broker-dealer and member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly the NASD) with over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry. Riley James' programs give participants a direct ownership position in the wells from which they may receive monthly revenue disbursements as a result of the cash flow generated by each successful well. In addition, oil and gas investments provide substantial tax benefits, enabling participants to deduct as much as 65 to 100 percent of their investment within the first year.

Riley James prides itself on putting the investor first by providing the best possible terms on compelling projects determined to have a high probability for success. The competitive structure of Riley James' programs affords participants the return of up to 100 percent of their investment before Riley James receives its share of income distributions. And, by diversifying in multiple wells, the participants' potential for success is greater. In addition, the programs offered by Riley James are structured on an "invoice-cost" basis, which means participants have access to the actual invoices associated with drilling and completion costs and, in turn, only pay their share as determined by their ownership position. The invoice-cost structure delivers higher potential returns than the more common "turnkey" structure, which generally doubles or more than doubles the actual drilling and completion costs while slashing the investors' returns in half, if not more. The markup associated with turnkey projects enables the competition to profit whether the well is successful or not. Riley James, on the other hand, aligns its goals with those of our partners, profiting only on the production of a successful well. To deliver on that goal, Riley James adheres to a stringent project selection process. All prospective projects must pass rigorous geological analyses and demonstrate a high propensity for delivering a return on investment by the management team and its three expert consultants. Each member of the review panel must answer a definitive "yes" when asked if a project has a likely potential for success.
